Milliken & Company Launches HybridFORM, Introducing a New Approach to Commercial Flooring

New platform brings together performance, cleanability and responsible design in a single, recyclable system to imported fabrics

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Milliken & Company has launched HybridFORM™, a new flooring platform designed to address persistent tradeoffs in commercial interiors with a focus on responsible design and long-term performance, reflecting a broader shift toward hybrid solutions.

As facility demands continue to evolve, HybridFORM brings together performance characteristics typically associated with both hard and soft surface flooring, with a particular focus on cleanability, durability, acoustic performance, and design flexibility. The platform also reflects increased demand for flooring solutions developed with material health and end-of-life considerations in mind.

“Commercial flooring has long required a balance between design and performance,” said Dale Kitchen, Research and Development Director for Milliken’s flooring business. “HybridFORM was developed with sustainability in mind, without compromising the durability and ease of maintenance our commercial customers expect.”

The platform features a 100% polyester, single-polymer construction designed for high-traffic commercial environments. It is engineered to support stain resistance and soil release, while allowing for maintenance using standard cleaning practices. Spills and surface contaminants are designed to remain at the surface for more controlled cleaning, helping simplify day-to-day maintenance in demanding environments.

HybridFORM is also designed with material recovery in mind. Its single-material, PVC-free construction that is free of Red List chemicals supports reclamation through Milliken’s take-back program, enabling material to be processed and reintroduced into new HybridFORM or other polyester based products.

The first collection built on the platform, Gilded Stitch, applies a woven textile aesthetic to a low-profile, durable flooring format. Drawing from familiar textile patterns, the collection demonstrates how the platform can translate familiar design elements into a material suited for high-performance commercial use.

HybridFORM is intended for a range of settings, including education, workplace, healthcare and retail environments where flooring must support both functional performance and occupant experience.

HybridFORM will debut at Milliken’s Design Days showroom, where NeoCon attendees can experience the platform firsthand.
