WellBAC® Third-Party Certifications
Declare® is a nutrition label for building products. It is designed to help specifiers quickly identify products that meet project requirements.
WellBAC® backing systems demonstrated a commitment to transparency by disclosing the ingredients of our floor coverings through Declare to help create a materials economy that is non-toxic, ecologically regenerative, transparent, and socially equitable.
The Red List contains the worst in class materials prevalent in the building industry.
The commonly-used chemicals on the Red list are: polluting the environment, bio-accumulating up the food chain until they reach toxic concentrations, and harming construction and factory workers. WellBAC® backing systems do NOT contain materials hazardous to human health: RED-LIST FREE and third-party verified.
Milliken has demonstrated commitment to transparency on environmental impact of our products throughout the entire life cycle by provision of third party certified Environmental Product Declarations. It allows architects and specifiers to compare products in terms of their whole-life sustainability.

Our WellBAC® cushion backing can prolong the life expectancy of carpet tiles by 40-50% compared with hardback products. Our WellBAC® products qualify for LEED v4 status.
Our WellBAC® cushion product has been assessed according to the criteria of SINGAPORE GREEN BUILDING product certification scheme.
Environmentally Preferred Carpet Singapore Green Label certified products do not just take into account the impact of the consumer's end, but it also takes into account the use of raw materials, transportation, manufacturing, and packing of the product. WellBAC® backing products provide holistic safety and environmental protection.
Low VOC Emissions - CRI Green Label Plus, an independent testing program that identifies carpet, adhesives, and cushion with very low emissions of VOCs to help improve indoor air quality.
