Iconic Dickies work shirt redesigned with advanced Milliken fabric to create a new level in performance workwear

FORT WORTH, TEXAS AND SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co., the world’s
leading provider of performance workwear, and Milliken & Company, a global innovation
company with custom-engineered textile capabilities, have collaborated under Williamson-
Dickie Mfg. Co.’s flagship Dickies brand to produce an improved performance work shirt for
today’s modern worker.
The new work shirt employs Milliken & Company’s innovative textile technology to deliver
enhanced lightweight, moisture-wicking and soil-release properties with the addition of
stretch. Most importantly, the groundbreaking fabric technology delivers an 80 percent
increase in breathability. The “next generation” work shirt provides unprecedented comfort
and mobility while maintaining the durability of a classic Dickies work shirt.
The new Dickies work shirt is available in long and short sleeve, and in colors black, dark
navy, charcoal and desert sand. The shirt is available for purchase now on the Dickies
website,, Sears and other workwear retailers nationwide.
These improvements were the result of a long-term project and partnership between Dickies
and Milliken & Company, which have collaborated for more than 17 years to provide industryleading
work apparel to consumers. Both companies are invested in creating advanced
products with the customer’s best end use and comfort in mind.
The pioneering improvements to the classic work shirt speak to Dickies’ commitment to its
